PantherNation Goes Olineman in Round 6! Your on the Clock. Vote Now!

With a majority of 90%, PantherNation has said we will pick an Offensive Lineman at Pick #204 in Round 6!  So we fans also like Hog-Mollies and it is time to select one that will pay dividends.  You have made five exceptional picks thus far, but we Championship Teams know how to find diamonds in the rough.  You have an interesting choice to make here on Day 3 of the Draft.  Who will join the likes of Greg Hardy, Byron Bell, Robert Lester and Melvin White as late round pickups (or undrafted Fas) to crack the starting lineup in Carolina?  Below are five worthy candidates of which one has second round talent but requires patience:
1-     Cornelius Lucas- This is a guy I’ve been grabbing late in the Drafttek Mock Drafts and he is one to keep an eye on.  At 6’8 and 316 lbs., this Hog-Molly out of Kansas State could be a steal.  His stock has plummeted due to stress fracture in foot and inability to participate in pre-draft workouts.  Tremendous upside with a little patience

2-   Charles Leno – This potential diamond in the rough out of Boise State started 39 consecutive games and the final 26 were at LOT.  Projected a Guard in the NFL, this 6’4, 298 lbs. man would bring versatility to the Panthers line which is always a plus

3-    Justin Britt- At 6’6 315 lbs., Justin possesses prototypical size for an NFL Tackle.  He has great punch coming off the line and when healthy could really shine at the next level.  He is available at Pick #204 because he’s also suffered a foot fracture and tore an ACL in 2012.  But the risk is worth the reward for this Hog Molly

4-   Kadeem Edwards- This 6’3 318 lbs. OG out of Tennessee State is intriguing and could pay dividends.  Provides an impressive push in the running game and played all four years at Left Guard.  The only thing holding this young man back is experience against top competition, so the team willing to be patient with Kadeem could reap a huge payoff. 5-    Brandon Thomas – Speaking of patience and dividends, this is the most interesting option of the bunch.  Thomas was projected to the Panthers in the second round not long ago and was highlighted as a “Backyard Baller” not long ago.  An ACL tear while working out for the New Orleans Saints (surprise surprise) has sent this young man’s stock tumbling.  But rehab him for a year and he would fit right in and could shine for years to come in Carolina.
